I cant seem to get the UI to run.I dropped all the files in the usual maya properties folders… is there some obscure step I am missing?

It should be in a default deformer menu.
If you couldn’t see it for some reason, try selecting the object and run following mel script instead.
deformer -type displaceD
Enjoy!

2012 should be available.

…except 32bit. I don’t have 32bit windows anymore. so compiling this plug-in to 32bit windows is a bit troublesome…

Hi Haji,
I was trying to reach you through your e-mail regarding an issue with displaceD plug-in but your e-mail seems to not work anymore. Can you please tell your new address as I’d like to attach a screenshot in order to explain a problem. Thanks!

Hi, your displace plugin is great.
Is there a compiled version for Maya 2013 available?
Thanks

Cool plugins, man. I liked it.
I have a question for you if you don’t mind.
I am learning how to build the plugins in OSX with X-code or “makefile”.
Specially, the big studio’s open source code for OSX. Because, for PC or Linux, somebody already build for the other users.
However, for Mac user, I can’t find the option for that, nor I can’t find the easy/specific tutorial for that.
If it’s possible for me to ask you about any resource/ any website, I would like to ask you.

Hi guys, sorry for that I couldn’t release displaceD for the latest Maya. There are several reasons why I couldn’t do it.
Firstly, I’ve been busy for babysitting my first child…hehehe! She is so cute, I’m enjoying taking care of her. But I really do not have time to touch my computer at home now.
Secondly, its very sad to say, but I’ve never used Maya anymore for more than a year. During the HappyFeet2, we used Houdini for Lighting. And here DW, we are using in house softwares.
Thirdly, because of 1st and 2nd reason, I don’t have Maya environment at home anymore. It’s a bit of work to rebuild programming environment for Maya, and I don’t have any spare time for it.
So, I may put my codes to somewhere open. So that someone could take over it. Well, hope I have a time to do it… See what happens.
